Birthday: June, 26th Height: 1.75 m (5'9") Weight: 56 kg (124 lbs) Age: 20s Katsura fought the Amanto during the Joui war (along with Gintoki, Sakamoto and Takasugi), the last act of samurai rebellion against the alien invaders, which ultimately failed. Despite this loss, Katsura has continued his attempts to drive out the invaders, along with a group of loyal followers. As such, he is wanted as a terrorist by the government and frequently runs afoul of the Shinsengumi. He often wears disguises in order to avoid detection. Katsura has something of a gloomy personality (although he has a soft spot for cute things) and is devoted to 'saving' Japan from the Amanto, a cause he likes to pursue with the use of explosives. He has also proven quite adept at subduing enemies with plates of fried rice and curry (both of which he laced with laxative.) He isn't above trickery and manipulation in order to 'convince' people to aid in his plans. Under normal circumstances, he can usually be found with the large duck/penguin-like creature he received from Sakamoto, whom he calls 'Elizabeth.' Following an argument over soba, however, Elizabeth ran away. Gintoki is in the habit of calling him by the nickname 'Zura' which Katsura hates, constantly correcting him or anyone who calls (or even thinks of) him by anything other than his name. It's quite possible the terrorist is slightly less than sane. |
